From the Latin word for “crown”, these earrings are made to resemble wreaths with their many strands of wire intertwining in a circle.

For the base, a continuous coil of sterling silver wire was formed, the ends secured, and then more sterling wire was used to weave a criss-cross embellishment of white freshwater seed pearls. Large, lustrous keishi pearls were wire-wrapped to the tops and the hoops were given hand-forged earwires. All metal used is sterling silver which has been heavily oxidised and then buffed to reveal depth and dimension.

Definitely the furthest from your mind when you imagine “pearl earrings” – these hoops are bold yet delicate, and full of organic flair.

Earrings measure 2.4" (60mm) including earwires. The hoop portion measures about 1.5" (38mm) diameter.
